Finally, we dive into the gelatinous bodies suspended in the Atlantic waters. The materials that grow and live in this liquid cycle are evoked, from the algae that come to us in the summer months to the thousands of microorganisms that ensure marine life. The images reveal invisible worlds of colonies that grow, expand and organise themselves. The sound transports us to a state synchronized with the ocean tides, and in this submerged environment, the rhythm slows down, thoughts dissolve, and the body rests.

Mariana Vilanova (1996) is an artist based in Porto. Through photography, video and multimedia installations, she has been presenting works that bring us closer to the challenges of the 21st century, such as the impact of technological advances on human beings and the planet. She has a degree in Fine Arts (FBAUP) and a Master's in Multimedia (FEUP). She has been exhibiting regularly since 2016, both nationally and internationally, including Na Faina do Argaço (2024), curated by Batalha Centro de Cinema; and the exhibitions Análise de um paraíso fugaz (gnration, 2023), with Marcelo Reis, the result of the artistic residency Scale Travels (NOA, INL), Solastalgia (Galeria Ócio, 2022), and Before and After Us (RAMPA, 2021).
