Pedro André is an electronic musician and sound artist based in Berlin, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Spatial Strategies at Weissensee Kunsthochschule Berlin. Between 2020 and 2024, he was Composer-in-Residence at the Porto City Museum, where he worked closely with curator Nuno Faria. He was also a co-founder and member of the collective Faca Monstro in Porto (until 2018) and of the cultural space Altes Finanzamt in Berlin (until 2014). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a wide range of sound artists, including Jonathan Saldanha, Pedro Augusto, Nils Meisel, Llorenç Barber, and Dídio Pestana, as well as visual artists such as Mariana Caló and Francisco Queimadela, Eli Cortiñas, Lorenzo Sandoval, and Bruno de Marco. His practice is deeply collaborative and spans multiple media, from sound installations and sound design for video to live performance. His work explores the intersections of sonic materiality, memory, sound, and listening within electroacoustic environments, creating immersive sonic fictions.
